We are pretty proud of it! We even made the concrete hearthstone ourselves (built the casing and bought a molding for the cut look on the edges!). — Erika
“My wife and I decided to build a wall in our backyard / pavilion area. We needed the wall to add a television to the space to make it complete. Once the wall was ready for tile - we reviewed many options and ultimately decided to go with AirStone. We are so happy we did. It was very easy to work with and there is no mess from mortar mix (this uses adhesive glue). It does take some time since each different color you see in the picture is a different piece but that is what makes it look so great.” — Dan

AirStone tip: Like natural stone, AirStone will absorb food splatters and/or grease. We recommend using a sealer when using AirStone as a kitchen backsplash, or an outdoor kitchen. Use a high-quality brand for concrete, masonry, or porous stone. Follow the manufacturer's directions and reapply as instructed (in general, it's best to apply a THIN coat and let it dry thoroughly before applying another coat).
AirStone has updated our home and looks great! We were so pleased with the finished project. Airstone is very easy to work with, we enjoyed applying it! — Stacy

AirStone tip: A staircase application such as this is subject to movement due to traffic going up and down the steps. We would recommend leaving a slight gap (say, 1/8” or so) between the bottom row of AirStone and the stair tread. An easy way to do this…use the cardboard from the AirStone carton! Cut it into strips (make sure it’s a totally straight line), and place the strips against the riser. Use the cardboard as the base for your first AirStone row. Once the adhesive has set, pull out the cardboard and you’re good to go!
A two day project makes the house look amazing. We had so much fun doing it. Love AirStone! — Robin

Our first project was rocking our backsplash... super easy! We just finished our fireplace; it was more difficult and took three weekends to complete. The hardest part was making all the cuts, but using a table saw with a masonry blade helped a lot. We love this product and plan to start on our bar next. I would 100% recommend. — Wayne & Sheree

Mike wanted to show off his newly “AirStoned” columns. He used Autumn Mountain as the “main color,” along with Spring Creek.

Here is the finished photo of the underside of our steps. We went with a flexible trim around the arch to avoid keystones. I template each stone around the arch and hand carved each piece for an almost perfect fit. We had two curved walls but overall it was fun. Took about 16 hours. Thanks. Brian
PS: I ordered the “flex trim” through Flexible Millwork, you can find them online!

When using AirStone as a backsplash, or an outdoor kitchen, we do recommend applying a sealer. Like natural stone, it will absorb grease and food splatters without protection. Use a high-quality brand for concrete, masonry, or porous stone. Follow the manufacturer's directions and reapply as instructed (in general, it's best to apply a THIN coat and let it dry thoroughly before applying another coat). And thanks to Ed and Ann Marie for sharing their Autumn Mountain backsplash photos….nice job!
Just wanted to give you an update on our fireplace remodel with AirStone in Birch Buff! I am so happy with the outcome! Thank you so much! —Kerri
